I started this tour in Zakopane and walked through the town. I think you can get the bus too, but I found it a bit too confusing and the sun was shining, so I walked the 40 mins to the national
park entrance.
This was another well signposted walk - basically, follow the signs to the meadow.
Next, of course - get ready to climb. Keep climbing. With this walk, you need to turn around and admire the view after every step because from the bottom of the hill to the top the view is
spectacular.
When I reached the top, hot and sweaty, I was promptly overtaken by a group of school children, which felt like my cue to take a break. The view was incredible:
From this point, I believe you can continue round in a sort of horseshoe shape to the other side of the valley. But, since my feet were still aching from the Five Lakes hike, and since I still
had my terrible, floppy walking boots, I headed back down the same route.
If you're feeling brave, you can dip your feet in the cool (read: icy) water by the national park entrance. If you walk back to town, I'd also recommend buying yourself an ice cream, for not
other reason except the fact that you're on holiday, and ice cream is well deserved.
